Infrastructure is one of the major strengths of all units at CIHM. Infrastructure is being developed according to functionality, adequacy as well as current trends. Other than having exclusive labs, the institute has the privilege to use the attached hotels to provide students an industry centric learning through its Academic - Industry Integration Program.
These facilities are used for imparting skills in Food Production to the students.Training Kitchens teach the students the art and science of food production and knowledge about various cuisines as well as bakery and confectionery.
Designed like a basic classical restaurants, these Training Restaurants give students training in various aspects of Food & Beverage Service. The instructor teaches the nitty-gritty of various forms of service during the practical sessions. However, the training does not end there. The students are trained to serve with actual food and beverage during the lunch service, where they are individually corrected and groomed by the faculty members and seniors whom they serve.
Housekeeping Lab consists of mock guest room built as per hotel specifications and a housekeeping work area. In the room, students practice the servicing of guest room. The work area is used to impart knowledge about cleaning of different surfaces, laundry operations, flower arrangements etc.
Each unit has a Computer Lab with internet connection. Students use this facility to sharpen their computing skills as well as for doing assignments and conducting research. The internet facility can be used by students, however, it is controlled and supervised to avoid misuse.
Building a library is a long term and continuous process. CIHM is building a library that will have a range of reference books both by international and Indian authors on every subject pertaining to hospitality. In addition to books, the library will also have literature on general interest, personal development, and a range of newspapers and journals.
All the classrooms are comfortable, air-conditioned and equipped with latest audio-visual aids.
Each unit of CIHM is attached to a fully operational star category hotel This is a unique advantage as the students can actually experience the hotel's environment right from the beginning of their course, and therefore, get better equipped for their professional life
